I recently had the extraordinary pleasure of spending a week at Bustani Manor, a beautiful/peaceful/relaxing small estate in Nakuru, Kenya, with a group of well-traveled, foodie, business minded women. We had nearly all of our meals at the manor, and the culinary experience we shared was nothing short of sensational!
For those of us who embrace the full range of culinary experiences, he crafted bold, hearty traditional dishes with elevated unexpected, delightful twists. For instance, his Chimichurri sauce with chicken on our first night was over-the-top tasty and unforgettable – the kind of experience you go to bed afterward thinking about! 😊 And, for those with specific dietary needs (vegan/vegetarian), his ability to cater to all tastes and dietary preferences without compromising the experience for anyone was impressive. But, it wasn’t just the food that made this week’s meals special. This chef’s warm presence, charming smile, and genuine passion for his craft were felt in every dish.
Chef Jonathan will undoubtedly shape the future of Kenya’s culinary scene, and I can’t wait to see where his journey takes him. He is extremely talented with a presence that is welcoming and attentive to the needs of his diners. If you ever have the chance to dine where Chef Jonathan is in charge, don’t hesitate to experience his magic!
